Panthers 2016 Season Opener Countdown: 82 Days to Go
We are at countdown day 82 until the season opener for the 2016 season. As such, we take a look at #82 Marcus Lucas, a name you might be familiar with.Height: 6'4"Weight: 220College: MissouriExperience: 2 years Lucas began his career as a undrafted free agent out of Missouri in 2014. Originally a WR, Lucas transitioned to being a TE during his rookie year. He was cut after the preseason and moved to the Panthers practice squad
http://www.panthersstoreofficial.com/Sam_Mills_Jersey, unable to make an impact great enough to make the final roster. His performance in the preseason last year wasn't earth shattering, but he was able to make some noise, playing in all four games with 6 catches for 99 yards and atouchdown. Unfortunately for Lucas, this wasn't enough for him to make the Panthers practice squad again, and was subsequently waived in the team's final round of camp cuts in September 2015.Lucas would eventually land on Miami's practice squad, however he would only last a day there before being cut again
Tre Boston Jersey. He would be picked up a few months later by the Bears before being cut in early May. Lucas landed back with the Panthers a few days after his time with the Bears ended, however he is likely nothing more than a camp body who is already familiar with the team and how it functions. It is hard seeing him doing anything to dethrone fellow TE Ed Dickson from the #2 TE spot on the depth chart, not to mention the fact the Panthers have 8 TE's on the roster as it is now for competition's sake. At least he has the nickname of "Mucas" that nobody can forget. If you want to lend Marcus support in his bid to make the team, you can find him onTwitter andInstagram.
