Один из самых известных участников кооперативного движения в СССР конца 1980-х годов предприниматель Артем Тарасов скончался на 68-м году жизни, сообщает "Интерфакс" со ссылкой на партию "Яблоко", от которой Тарасов в 2016 году выдвигался в депутаты Госдумы. Тарасов считается первым советским миллионером, заработавшим деньги легально.

"Умер Артём Михайлович Тарасов. Эту информацию нам сейчас подтвердила его помощница", - сказали в пресс-службе. О причине смерти, дате и месте прощания семья Тарасова сообщит в понедельник.

Тарасов родился в Москве 4 июля 1950 года. В 1989 году был избран вице-президентом Союза объединенных кооперативов СССР, в 1990 году - народным депутатом РСФСР. Он - первый советский предприниматель, который легально стал миллионером.

Тарасов официально стал миллионером, когда по решению возглавляемого им кооператива "Техника" в январе 1989 года ему была выписана заработная плата в 3 млн рублей из прибыли кооператива. Он заплатил сотни тысяч рублей налогов. Такую же зарплату получил и его заместитель, который, будучи членом КПСС, уплатил с заработка членские взносы в партию, отдав положенные 3% - 90 тысяч рублей. В этот момент средняя зарплата в СССР составляла 120 рублей в месяц.

С конца 1991 года по 1993 год находился в первой эмиграции в Лондоне.

В 1993 году был избран депутатом Государственной Думы первого созыва по Центральному одномандатному избирательному округу Москвы. В 1996 году выдвигался на должность президента России, однако не был зарегистрирован Центральной избирательной комиссией РФ. С конца 1996 по 2003 год опять жил в Лондоне во второй эмиграции.

Тарасов в сентябре 2016 года выдвигался в депутаты Госдумы от партии "Яблоко" в Красноярском крае.
