В любом случае мы принимаем экстремальные меры проверки людей, приезжающих в США, чтобы сохранить нашу страну в безопасности. Суды очень медлительны и политизированы!" - добавил Трамп.

16 марта судья американского штата Гавайи Деррик Уотсон заблокировал очередной иммиграционный указ Трампа. Уотсон отклонил аргумент о том, что президентский указ не представляет собой меры, направленной против мусульман. По его мнению, имеются "значительные и неопровержимые указания на то, что фактор религии влиял на принятие указа".

Соответствующее решение Уотсон принял всего за несколько часов до вступления президентского указа в силу. Действие этого документа было приостановлено по всей территории США.

Трамп подписал второй иммиграционный указ 6 марта. В отличие от первой версии указа, подписанной 27 января, в новом документе содержался запрет на въезд в США граждан шести стран: Ирана, Сомали, Судана, Йемена, Сирии и Ливии. Из списка был исключен Ирак.

Запрет на въезд в США из вышеперечисленных стран предполагалось ввести на 90 дней. Кроме того, документ предусматривал приостановку приема беженцев на 120 дней. За это время правительство должно разработать "меры экстренного контроля", говорилось в указе. Второй иммиграционный указ должен был вступить в силу 16 марта.
