Лидеры G7 подписали декларацию по борьбе с терроризмом и вооруженным экстремизмом, передает Reuters. Подписание документа произошло по итогам рабочей сессии, состоявшейся в рамках саммита лидеров "группы семи" - Великобритании, Германии, Италии, Канады, США, Франции и Японии.

Главным инициатором декларации, как сообщает ТАСС, стала премьер-министр Великобритании Тереза Мэй. С такой инициативой она выступила спустя несколько дней после совершенного в Великобритании самого крупного теракта за последние 12 лет.

Лидеры "семерки", а также председатель Евросовета Дональд Туск и глава Еврокомиссии Жан-Клод Юнкер перед телекамерами поставили подписи под документом, который был внесен по предложению председательствующей Италии.

"Мы выведем борьбу с терроризмом на более высокий уровень, без устали предотвращая, расследуя теракты, преследуя их исполнителей и тех, кто их поддерживает... Мы будем стремиться к коллективному подходу по устранению риска, который представляют иностранные наемники после того, как они покидают театр военных действий", - говорится в тексте подписанной декларации.

Это намерение лидеры стран "семерки" собираются исполнять, "направив совместно ресурсы для того, чтобы повысить способность ответных действий транзитных стран и государств, куда направляются наемники или куда они возвращаются".

По данным Европола, общая численность европейцев, уехавших на Ближний Восток, чтобы воевать на стороне террористической организации "Исламское государство"*, составляет около пяти тысяч человек. Многие из них погибли, часть вернулась, однако около половины - еще нет, и этот факт в G7 называют очень серьезной угрозой для безопасности на многие годы вперед.

Премьер-министр Италии Паоло Джентилони подчеркнул, что подписанная декларация является "сильным сигналом солидарности с Великобританией после теракта в Манчестере".

"Я хочу поблагодарить всех лидеров, мы показали наше единство и нашу решимость в дальнейшей борьбе с терроризмом, и после произошедшего в Манчестере это еще и послание дружбы и близости Великобритании.
