(SportsNetwork.com) - The Toronto Blue Jays will try to figure out the Kansas City Royals on Saturday when the two teams meet at Rogers Centre. The Blue Jays hope to follow the lead of prospect Marcus Stroman, making the first start of his Major League career, pushing Drew Hutchison back to Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers. Stroman, a 23-year-old righty, struggled in five relief appearances with the Blue Jays earlier this month, giving up nine earned runs over 6 1/3 innings while opponents hit .419 against him. In seven starts at Triple-A Buffalo this year, Stroman has gone 2-4 with a 3.03 ERA. "We want to get Stroman up here to give him a look," Gibbons told his teams official website. "And the thinking was, well back Hutchison off a couple of days. (Mark) Buehrle will start Sunday, Hutchison on Tuesday in Detroit. Weve been trying to pick some spots, give Hutch a little breather. After his last start, I thought he looked a little bit tired. We thought it would be a perfect time to give him a couple of extra days." Hutchison gave up five earned runs over five innings in his last start on Monday versus Tampa Bay. Kansas City took the first two contests of this four-game set with an 8-6 win in extra innings on Thursday and a 6-1 victory on Friday night. Lorenzo Cain nearly single-handedly led the Royals to victory on Friday, going 3-for-4 with a home run and four RBI. Billy Butler also went 3-for-4 with three runs scored and Alex Gordon blasted his fourth home run of the season as well. "This is more of the offense that we envisioned coming out of spring training," Royals manager Ned Yost said. Jason Vargas earned his fifth win of the season as the starter, limiting the Blue Jays to just one run, while matching seven hits with as many strikeouts. "Vargas keeps you off-balance," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "If youre sitting on a pitch, you dont get it." Jose Bautista provided the only offense for the Blue Jays with his 14th home run of the season. J.A. Happ took the loss, laboring through 7 2/3 innings during which he gave up six runs on nine hits. Toronto has dropped back-to-back games after winning nine straight contests. Kansas City will turn to Aaron Brooks on Saturday. Brooks will be making his first MLB start, having just a single relief appearance to his name this season, his first in the majors. In his only other outing the 24-year-old let up six runs on seven hits over two innings during a 9-2 loss to Detroit on May 3. Brooks, who was drafted in the ninth round of the 2011 amateur draft out of Cal State San Bernardino, was 4-1 with a 3.12 ERA in eight games for Triple-A Omaha this season. The Royals have won three of the first five games between these teams this season. Adam Lallana Jersey . He just didnt expect them to be this good. Darrun Hilliard scored 19 points to lead No. 6 Villanova to a dominating 77-59 victory over Georgetown on Saturday, preserving the Wildcats hopes of a No. Danny Ings Jersey . Huntelaar also had a penalty saved by Wolfsburg goalkeeper Diego Benaglio. The two goals brought Huntelaars total for the season to 18, level with Bayern Munichs Mario Gomez for most in the league. http://www.soccerliverpoolproshop.com/c-21-sheyi-ojo-liverpool-fc-jersey.aspx .Jeff Green, playing in his second preseason game after missing the first four because of a calf strain, had 18 points. The Celtics (3-3) shot 47.2 per cent from the floor and made 15 of 37 3-point attempts. Steven Gerrard Liverpool Jersey .A. Happs hold on a spot in the Blue Jays starting rotation is in question. Sadio Mane Liverpool Jersey . With a victory seemingly slipping away late in the third quarter, his quick scoring flurry helped Golden State regain control early in the fourth. The Jets are getting big value from a free agent addition, a Bruins rookie doubles up, Wilson’s great for Nashville, Fantasy tips and more in Scott Cullen’s Statistically Speaking. HEROES Mathieu Perreault – Scored four goals in Winnipeg’s 8-2 rout of Florida. After starting the year with no goals and three assists in his first 19 games, Perreault has been on a tear, putting up 25 points (15 G, 10 A) in 24 games and his puck possession numbers (55.1% Corsi) rank second on the Jets, behind Blake Wheeler. Not a bad pickup for a $3-million cap hit. Here are the top scorers that changed NHL teams as a free agent in the summer of 2014: NICE ADDITIONS PLAYER TEAM POS. GP G A PTS CORSI% REL. The 18-year-old was the 25th pick in the 2014 Draft, and he’s the only player taken outside the top three to play in the league this season. Colin Wilson – The Predators winger is having a breakout season and piled up two goals and two assists in Nashville’s 5-1 win over Vancouver. He has 17 points (8 G, 9 A) in the past 11 games. It turns out that having the puck in the other team’s end all the time can pay off quite nicely as Wilson has the best scoring-chance ratio in the league, currently at 62.1%. J.T. Brown – The Lightning winger had a rough night, on the ice for one shot attempt for and 12 against (7.7%) at even-strength before taking a double minor in the third for roughing Boston’s David Krejci. Goalies: Niklas Backstrom – Allowed six goals on 35 shots in a 7-2 loss at Pittsburgh, continuing the Wild’s goaltending woes. In his past five games, Backstrom has allowed at least three goals in each of his past 10 appearances. Robin Lehner – Ottawa’s goaltender gave up five goals on 29 shots in a 5-4 loss at Dallas. In his past five games, Lehner has an .857 save percentage (114 saves, 133 shots). Luongo & Montoya – Florida’s goalies took a beating, allowing eight goals on 35 shots against Winnipeg. It’s been a particularly rough stretch for Al Montoya, who has an .836 save percentage (97 saves, 116 shots) in his past five appearances. LINEUP NEED TO KNOW Pekka Rinne – Nashville’s star goaltender, and the frontrunner for the Vezina Trophy, left Tuesday’s win over Vancouver with a lower-body injury. Carter Hutton could see an increased workload if Rinne is going to be out. James Neal – Returned to the Nashville lineup, for his first game in 2015, contributing a couple of assists, in a 5-1 win over Vancouver. Derek Stepan – Played only 6:55 against the Islanders before leaving with an upper-body injury. When Stepan was hurt early in the year, Derick Brassard was forced to handle a lot of responsibility. At this ppoint, the Rangers could give young forward J.ddddddddddddT. Miller some more minutes. Steve Downie - The Penguins agitating winger was knocked from the game after taking an elbow from Minnesota D Ryan Suter. It has been more than a little challenging for the Penguins to keep their wingers healthy this season. Zac Dalpe – Was called up to play his first game for the Sabres. He had 17 points (9 G, 8 A) in 96 career NHL games and wasn’t exactly tearing up the AHL, with 13 points (7 G, 6 A) in 31 AHL games. FANTASY FOCUS Four games tonight, four players to consider for your lineup: Sergei Gonchar – The Habs veteran blueliner has three assists in the past four games and played a season-high 23:58 last game. Rob Zepp – Apparently the Flyers are poised to start the 33-year-old journeyman tonight (ahead of Ray Emery) against Washington. Kyle Palmieri – Ducks winger has nine points (4 G, 5 A) in his past 10 games; a quality secondary offensive contributor. Dustin Brown – It hasn’t been much a season, or season-and-a-half, for Brown when it comes to offensive production (43 points in 112 games since the start of 2013-14), but he does have four assists in the past five games and is seeing more ice time now that Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson are out of the lineup.
